Accessing PIGMENT sessions independently
Everyone is expected to attend activities with a parent or carer. In some instances, and only after discussion and assessment with PIGMENT staff, participants may access our farm-based sessions independently.
In this case, it is a requirement that a clear and available contact is provided (name, phone number and email address via the registration form in the first instance) for someone in a supporting role of the trainee, even if that member is typically communicating with PIGMENT independently.
It is the responsibility of the trainee’s own support network to communicate any changes in these contact details.
PIGMENT will support its trainees by facilitating learning; this does not involve providing direct care to its participants. It is the responsibility of a trainee’s own support network to assess the risk associated with independent access.
PIGMENT staff will take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of everyone engaging in activities.
It is the responsibility of the participants support unit, to ensure that participants are equipped with the tools and understanding to access activities independently. This includes for example, travelling to and from sessions independently, not arriving too early for sessions and understanding communications from the PIGMENT team.
Please arrive no more than 20 minutes before a session start time so that the
facilitators can prepare for the session adequately and safely before your arrival.
